Your tyres should be rotated every other oil change, or every 6000 miles. If you fail to rotate your tyres, you may cause your tyres to wear prematurely.
There could be a number of issues when your check engine light comes on. The issue could be something simple to fix such as a loose petrol cap, or could be something more serious. The best thing to do if you are unsure is to bring your vehicle to Car Doctor so that we can inspect the problem. A general guide is to get your brakes checked once every 6 months. You can tell your brake pads need replacing if you hear a grinding or squealing noise when you brake, if your car is steering to the left or right when you do brake or if you notice your brakes are functioning less well than they used to.
